@ Kahuku alumni I’ve noticed you only comment when it’s about the maiava kid. You always negative so I’m thinking your not a Kahuku alum but someone that is jealous of his talent. A real kahuku alum would just congratulate him and leave it like that. Don’t hate just congratulate!

It is sad when you see people so disappointed in their own lives that they would choose to post anything but congrats to a kid for getting a scholarship offer.

Congrats but if you want to improve at QB you need to transfer to Castle or STL where John Hao or June Jones can groom you. I like Kahuku but your next 3 years will be spent handing off or running read option!!!

But you are still not a Qb. You got Michigan cause Coach Tony Tuioti was there. NOw he took a job at Fresno st and now he offers again from Fresno. You are just an athlete. You can’t throw like Tua and Taulia. Good luck to you and your future. Maybe safety in college but then again you will have to learn how to read.

@grabum, why should they all go to kapolei? isn’t that what the OIA is against? stacking teams? the local sports media should report on these kids from smaller school and build up the local talent we have. we always talk about how we have to keep local talent here in hawaii, but we never really show what we really have! we always focus on a couple of the best ones and flood the news with them!! The local sports media totally ignores the JV level!! Thats where i think they make a big mistake!

@Turfwar I dont get what you are talking about. Literally the first thing I said was congrats to Maiava. I like the kid. I think he will do great things. I’m also definitely not a STL fan… Trust me… Was cheering for Kahuku since my team lost. Nothing but praise for the program. All I said was that he has things to work on and Tua would be something to strive for. Wouldn’t you want Maiava to be at least as successful as Tua?I have in fact coached before. Have you? If you have you would’ve known that everyone has something to work on. Pointing out how good he could be if he did improve something isn’t trashing him. Dont get all butt hurt

@88 No worries. My team, which isn’t STL, has had more than enough losses against Kahuku. I was never trying to trash Kahuku. Literally all I said was that he has things to work on.

he did really good at the usarmy bowl last month for freshman. he is maturing physically and will be a force for kahuku next year. i dont agree that he is playing basketball right now he should be honing his QB skills. nanakuli kids need to go to kapolei if you want to get noticed, of the 6 or 7 kahuku kids that get offers every year about half of um wouldnt get noticed if they were playing anywhere else. winning helps your entire program thats why kahuku fans and parents are vocal
