New OC is a Red Raider alum who has coached before. Brings a different skill set and a bit more determination. Prior OC is also an alum who rocked back in the day, but maybe has a little more learning to do in regards to coaching. Appreciate them both, especially the prior OC for staying on board to help out.

Congratualtions to Fiatoa. No offer from UH Manoa??? C’mon coach Rolo, if you’d just begin keeping the talent home in Hawaii we’d win the MWC every year, minimum. Hawaii is notorious for lineman, but has been producing gems at every position from QB to Kicker to DE to Safety. Every position is loaded with 4 & 5 star athletes.

Just like in the Kamehameha/Punahou game defense and special teams should have Kahuku beating any OIA team including Mililani. The offense needs to score on 50% of its possesions in order to beat St. Louis, which I think can happen.

The new OC will be making his debut in probably the most important game in the OIA Open Division when Mililani visits Kahuku next week. Some people may question the change, since it’s occurring mid-season. However, the next four games are critical. Critics and skeptics have already asked why. While supporters , on the other hand, have said it’s about time. What happens against Mililani can be a defining moment for the Red Raider’s season.

@Notes, Really a new OC? Changes made to the coaching staff already? Wow. From my observation Kahuku’s offense is not firing on all cylinders yet. Hopefully wth this new OC they’ll be able to get the offense going. Kahuku has always been a running team and looked like they wanted to be a bit more balanced. However it hasn’t been working. Now that all the remaining games count in the OIA they need to go out there and establish themselves. Defense & special teams has been holding them up so far.

Jesus can be the OC but if they play like how they played the Crusaders the first time( hesitant and scared) the result is going to be the same.
