Well she was going to pick 88, but it was already taken. And my mom wanted to challenge me more by making my birth name a little longer than 88. As for you, we totally understand the name 88. It is the perfect length so you didn’t get confused writing it.

I must be a great writer. I notice you like to reuse my material over and over gain. I know that flattery is the biggest compliment. So thank you very much 88!

I wonder if 88 will be hired to help the new coach. The previous staffs never wanted 88 around. I wonder if the new “interim” coach will want him around.

88, has the new coach reached out to you yet? I know his dad Rockne and I told him how good a coach you are (in your mind at least). He asked for your info, but I told him your mom named you 88. Unfortunately I couldn’t pass on your contact info.

I also told Rockne that if his son is interested in hiring you, he probably has to bring 4-6 applications for all of your alter-egos such as anywaays, too meke, good story, and whatever else ones you got.

Regardless of who the coach is, the Kahuku Football Team will do well. If you dig deep here are the issues I see that several people from that community fail to recognize.

1) Why are the academics so poor out there?

2) Why are many students who graduate non college ready based on data?

3) Why has the turnover rate for football coaches happen so frequently?

4) Why does it seem that most families care more about football than academics?

Don’t get me wrong. I’m totally in agreement with you. As an alumni, former player, and supporter of my own HS’s football program, I have witnessed similar politics. I actually coached for a while at the lower levels of my school’s football program. I never understood how some people who aren’t actively supporting the program in a hands on way could think they know better than we did. It was one of the reasons why I had to step away from coaching. Then again, sometimes there really is incompetent administration and coaches and thats a whole different issue…

She is trying to run the program like she is running her household. Get a man back in there at AD, Whitford, Leloy and Souza from years past kept the program steady and under control.”

@ Coach B, while the admin might be questionable out there, many parents think they can run the show. There are many great parents and alumni out there. But there are quite a few who think their opinions count and make unnecessary trouble for the coaches and admin out in Kahuku.

I agree with you Coach_B! If I can say one more thing: if it ain’t broke… what the heck you trying to fix? Just cuz they never come home with the Championship doesn’t mean that the football team/program is broken. I say let Tata continue… I think he’s done an awesome job!
