The first year this OIA ILH merge gets approved st Francis gets caught cheating. Sad to say but because of that, highly doubt this merge will continue next season. Bad enough ILH recruits and OIA can’t, but on top of that an ILH school gets caught with a fifth year senior? Ruin it for everybody

As a player for Saint Francis, at the same time it’s somewhat pleasing to be “notorious” it’s kinda messed up that everyone including ILH and HHSAA or whatever they called is against us, our team barely has enough numbers to set up a whole 11 for offense and defense and most of the players we do have play both sides, we’ve traveled around to practice and play games because we don’t have a field of our own and our school doesn’t even have a JV so that we can have enough numbers for varsity and intermediate, last year when we lost all everyone did was talk about how we suck but now that we’re doing good in a division that we DIDNT ASK TO BE IN, everyone’s calling us out for “sandbagging” when we do good for once. All the haters out there just tryna break us because they scared we gonna win states, I’m still upset because you took away potential offers and experiences for the kids, NO MERCY NEXT YEAR

Filling an appeal and asking 3 other teams to risk injury and play another game is not taking full responsibility. Casey can not tell the coaches or kids “the ILH said no” he needs to tell them “We fail you guys we are sorry” and that’s it.

Thanks for the info. Okay, but even if you count those three games as wins for St. Francis, Pac-5 still comes out ahead by one game for the ILH title. And as said before, it is not fair to ask the OIA teams to play a make-up game AFTER their own playoffs to appease St. Francis.

BTW, if a fifth year senior is missing games due to grades, that school has a lot more problems to fix.

@ Falcon Future, the three games that our ineligible player missed out was because of grades, he never suited up and wasn’t allowed on the sideline during the game

It is the ADULTS (both coaches and parents) that are directly responsible for this situation. It is part of the coaches job to maintain control of the incoming status of the incoming student athletes. This boy is now forced to walk around the campus of Saint Francis wth such a burden that I pray to God he doesn’t do anything to hurt himself.

I feel for these boys. In 2009 I was an Asst Coach with the Waianae boys’ varsity vball team which went undefeated all the way to the OIA D1 finals against Roosevelt however we forfeited the day prior to the match because of an ineligible player, smh. We as coaches can only do so much. The AD has to be on top of things.
