Wily only ran straight, didnt have moves, wasnt electrifying. Put any running back behind that line, and they would look that good. IF malepeai was behind that line, smash records convincingly.

His name was I Think Taumua. Tyler Taumua. I enjoyed watching him play and I’m not even a alumni from Farrington. But that’s just me.

Aofaga Wily should’ve been offensive player of the decade. My team would be as follows:

QB McKenzie Milton

RB Vavae Malepeai
RB Aofaga Wily

WR Kanawai Noa
WR Kainoa Wilson
WR Kalakaua Timoteo

LT Fred Ulu-Perry
LG Christopher Thee
C Jed Heffernan
RG Vili Fisiiahi
RT John Waa

QBs Tua and Mariota. Even could throw Milton in for 3.

RBs Malepeai, Failauga/ Wily

WRs Titus, Kanawai, Timoteo

OL- Eletise, Ulu Perry, Herbig, Clemens, Vimahi

Not a knock on Laloulu at all but he is not in these OL level. Failauga may not be better than Wily but he did set a state record for rushing yards and high school performance is the key to judging players.

The list could look better!

STL dynasty)

These OIA teams have a few athletes that are serious and train year round and the rest of their teammates eat donuts all summer.

This list looks good!

Among those chosen for OL, I feel that there were others that should have been chosen over the Farrington olineman. Granted that he is as big guy but as mentioned there were others that may have had more speed, skills, technique and athleticism which should have given them the edge.

And yes, I have watched them play and at Derby too.
Lol, on having the STATE Leading Rusher. That o-line in the OPEN division? Funny stuff.

But was him, Timoteo, and the all time RB Malepeai. They were a triple combo. Only one stage title I think.

Wily had a good oline, speed and power running. Would have had 3 State Titles if not for the DQ year.

Have you actually watched Herbig and Clemens play? Ever watch them at the derby vs fastletics? Watch their footwork and technique?
If you did, then you would not base your decision because of you’re relationship.
Please understand that I’m not putting your nephew down in any way or saying he is not a good player (because he did good at all levels). Earning a D1 athletic scholarship speaks for his play and is awesome.
If things were said like (for example only) the player can’t handle a fast 7tech in pass pro or can’t sustain a reach block on a wide 5tech on an OZ then that would be specifically putting a player down, but this is not the case.
Everything is just opinions/comments and can be debated all day (especially if its about an all decade team).
I apologize if I was offensive and put down a player by giving an opinion/comment.
Oh, btw your statement of “If he was blessed to come in with his line he had at StF, then there would’ve been a third STATE LEADING RUSHER behind him” does appear to be disrespectful to his recent OL teammates.
Happy New Year everyone and can’t wait for August to roll around.
