“And for all you guys saying your team could have done better, your team Neva go cuz dey Neva have da coconuts to try! Chaaaddduuuppp already”

Who is saying this? I don’t think anybody is saying this.

Unfortunately the #1 team comes out of their way to come here & played Hawaii’s best twice. Kahuku just stuck their neck out a little to far & went searching for a beat down. Out of the 3 times a Hawaii high school has faced a #1 nationally ranked team. Kahuku has done the worst, merely embarrassing to say the least.

De La Salle vs St. Louis (31-21)
Bishop Gorman vs St. Louis (52-40)
Bishop Gorman vs Kahuku (35-7)

You do the math my friend.

Despite what any nay sayer is saying, they still watched the game. Thank you for supporting the kids. I look forward to the next game this Saturday.

I was hopeful after the first quarter, not as much (but still hopeful) after the end of the second quarter. When they got up by three touchdowns, reality set in and I just hoped that they could hold them at that, which they did. Still proud of the fact that they got to go. They would not have scheduled true game if BG didn’t think that they would not have benifited them.

Initially I thought that going for one more score the final seconds of the game was classless, but they were just trying to keep up with the IMGs scoring. I’m sure the coach has some incentive if he takes states, ends up with a “national championship”

I don’t have a critical eye as to what happened, or what didn’t happen, but it was fun to see the QB running in their backfield almost getting sacked for a huge loss. If sports is a form of entertainment, this game entertained me. It entertained others too, because they watched also.

Kahuku is going to the state championship and win. It’s gonna be a back to back state championship. You all are invited to the game. It will be held at Aloha stadium. Nov.8. Don’t worry plenty of seats and I will be sitting in the back of the end zone which ever one is open to sit in. I prefer opposite of the jumbo tron. Friendly bet just come and enjoy. We don’t need to talk. See you there. Bring your friends, family and most importantly bring the KEIKI’S they will enjoy it.

@i love 88 “I’ll stay with the Punahou team who is good, often cannot beat Kahuku in a sporting activity, but then their kids will graduate, go to college, and live a life filled with exploration, opportunities, travel, and anything else their mind desires.”

Actually, the only sport that Kahuku beats Punahou in is basically football (although they’re both very competitive overall when they play) and recently girls volleyball. All other sports, from basketball, tennis, soccer, etc, Punahou smashes Kahuku.

Academics are no comparison, of course, along with grades, test scores, college placement, college graduate rates, etc. You know, all the things that are important for school itself. The top kids academically at Kahuku are probably just as good as the top kids at Punahou, but overall, from top to bottom, the Punahou student body is of course much stronger.

That’s not a knock on Kahuku. That’s just reality.

@AL, some Kahuku supporters will come back with the same tired comments. Our speech and debate team beat some kids from Punahou and Iolani. We had a graduate who went to Yale/Harvard/Princeton/etc.

At every school that tests low, there will be a few kids who buck the trend, whose parents took education seriously, and will do well for themselves.

I am talking about the whole group. I can see why many of these kids struggle academically. Look at how angry these people are.

Do you think they would be this angry if it was Math Bowl? Or a Science Competition. But I totally get it. When you are only good at 1 thing, and there is a chance it might someday be taken away, there is cause for concern. That is human nature.

Right. Because there’s NO WAY that three different people possibly think that Kahuku fans like anywaays are full of BS. It has to be a conspiracy. Possibly from the ILH!
