If Walter can developed student athletes and send the boys to college, I think that is when the younger athletes would choose to stay home. Develope the networks and pipelines for college programs to recruit Waianae boys. Because if you’re good, you’ll get recruited no matter what high school you’re at. There are so many college opportunities at all levels D1 to NAIA.

The ILH will always recruit, that’s just the way it is and I don’t blame families for wanting better for their kids.

Ridge, those elite QBs and skilled players in pop warner end up in the ILH. That is why Farrington, Waianae and Kahuku rely heavily on the run because the ILH can recruit away a few good ones but the big boys remain at home.

I think Waianae came out with a good offensive game plan(in this particular game). Our boys had Farrington beat in the trenches and racked up over 330yds of offense. It was the mental errors and poor execution on the players’ part that kept Farrington in the game. With that being said, Waianae needs to develop a passing game, and it has to start in the pop-warner level. You can draw up all the best passing schemes, but will have little success if your personnel are only used to operating in a run-first offense their whole lives. Waianae has some little Tuas running around who just need to be developed right and have their talents put to good use, instead of just being the guy who hands off the ball.

I’m as proud a Searider as anyone, but I’ll admit, that was a bad call by the refs. Though I still think Waianae would’ve pulled off the win, that call hugely impacted the outcome. Instant replay definitely needs to be implemented.

The League should look into instant replay if the actions are caught on video in a televised game common sense the coachs have a right to have a bad call overturned. It makes all the difference in a playoff and/or Championship game a long season can’t end on a bad call and would be more than fair for both sides. If one side is found wrong to over turn a bad call you lose a time out simple.
