Going from Farrington to a mainland college is a Huge transition.
Playing your Senior year @Silverado might help the transition to the mainland. There’s nothing on Oahu that resembles the mainland, not even close.
Seen parts of Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii island that resemble da mainland.
Best thing you can do is go to a college in the South. You’d be coming back w/ a cool southern accent.
What is cool about Oahu? The local pidgin accent. Not so cool? When local people on Oahu try to get fruity and cute w/ their English and it just sounds so stupid! You don’t see none ‘o that on the outer islands.

Unfortunately not only the boys from Hawaii but all over the mainland kids transfer to different schools either to not only get more exposure but more playing time filling their next schools needs. All their parents have a dream that their kids will play in the NFL. Look at the recruiting bios a lot of these kids end their senior seasons at different schools. It’s whats happening at the college level also. Never seen this a few years ago.

Becuase they all think the grass is greener, that they would receive so many more offers. Farrington always has boys go D1 if they do their work in the classroom. No need to go to the mainland. Pritchard ends up back at home, where he should have stayed and helped out his home boys.
What about Keiki Misipeka, Pekelo Solomon and C.J. Liana? I assume they are going to go to Garden City CC where Keiki’s dad just got a job. Could have stayed home and got a JC as well.

Was it worth it to transfer to he mainland for the senior seaosn? I wonder why they transferred.
