i’m tired of hearing all this hate from supposed “RRFL” people who trash our team and our communities and send their kids to private schools for “education.” it’s so sad to see the OIA sell out to “coach” cal lee and the ILH for cash. it’s a sad day when the organizations that were formed to protect us end up selling us out. this “alliance” is the start of the death of public school football, just like how the ILH wanted

As far as Kahuku, they are in a decline and on their way to D-1 , it’s over, the Mana has shifted to Mililani !! They have a coach who’s a beast and got that discipline that Kahuku needs!!! Kahuku got a patty cake Coach who belongs in baking school !!! Kahuku will always have players , but the way the system is there, I wouldn’t waste my kids there!!! ILH has and the best of best, so why not go ILH ?? Sorry RRFL But that’s the truth, our time is over . Look at Waianae, Kahuku will soon join them!!!! Unless they bring a coach like TATA, then the Beast will awake, but for now....good night!!!

If Cal Lee was coaching Wailua talent then probably means they would be in Div II and I guarantee they would be in the Playoffs.
Same for Kale Ane if he was coaching Kalani, they might not beat Waianae but would be in the Div II playoffs.

I understand what you’re saying though and it has merit but there is always the Kahuku factor.
They have just as much talent as the ILH. So when they win, is it the coaching? But when they lose, its because they dont have as much talent? or the coaching?

You bring up great points about the perceived inequities but take to task, IMHO, the wrong people. The OIA is very aware of the uneven playing field, but, as you can see in this article, decided to take the $$MONEY$$. Your beef isnt with the ILH its with the OIA who chose to run with a 2 year alliance. No coercion, and as some say the ILH needed the OIA more than OIA needed the ILH, so the OIA had leverage and decided to use that leverage to make some dollar bills.

You’re not to much of an Observer if you don’t think that the ILH should beat the OIA.
Give Cal Lee Waialua Bulldogs talent and dept and see if he makes the playoffs? Let Punahou play with Kalani Falcons kids and see if Kale Ane beat Waianae?
On the other hand, give any OIA Coach St Louis talent & dept and I guarantee they all would make the playoffs

ILH schools sacrifice $$$$ to have a full season schedule but I bet, behind the scenes and under the table, they being donged and compensated for the lost $$$$$. Good for them. They pretty much dominated the OIA Teams, better coaching?
