its RR4L no matter where you end up your junior or senior year. Dont get it twisted there are many big red fans that have graduated from other schools in Hawaii, heck theres a ton of them born and raised on the mainland but their hearts are with Kahuku because of their ancestry. As far as football it don’t matter where you play, you dont have to go to Punahou, you can go as far as your heart desire. Breiden Fehoko from Farrrington and Rex Manu from Mililani prove that the big name colleges will find you and a public school education is more then sufficient for college. If Leslie can keep more kids at home and improve the quality of education at kahuku for our athletes then wow! look out for the big red machine!

It’s not a “better opportunity”. It’s about Kahuku parents wanting to feel proud to say their kids go to Punahou, a nationally reknowned school. Same with college football. For those Kahuku players who want to stay in Hawaii and live, playing football for UH will set up their career jobs as firemen, policemen, prison guard, stevedore….
But they want to make their parents proud so they can say “my kid play Pac-12 football”. You play Kahuku football and win a state championship there, you will forever be a God in the Kahuku school district. Not in the Sunset Beach surfing community, but in the Kahuku side.
