Not hating on the D1 or the D2 divisions, but only the Open division interests me (actually just the top 4 teams).

Yup, it seems like a easy decision to make Damien vs. Iolani the late game. That game is for the ILH D1 championship.

The other game of Punahou vs. Kamehameha is a qualifier for the open championship. I’m sure the winner of this game will get to be in the late game next week when it is the open championship game.

Punahou and Kamehameha’s seasons are effectively over. Neither of them can beat STL twice. Damien/Iolani game has much more at stake.

Yes, you’re right about MMA where a light weight fight can headline a card, but this ain’t MMA.

It doesn’t really matter, but I wonder when was the last time an open division game got the boot by a lower division game at Aloha Stadium.

Why does the D1 game have more at stake than the Open game?

Kamehameha or Punahou’s season will be over with a lost just like the D1 teams. Win or go home.

Bottom line, it matters just as much so the Open division should get the respect with the late game.

If StL was playing this Friday, I’d bet they wouldn’t get the 5pm game….
