I might be the only person on here that doesn’t care about football. But if winning a football title, then later on in life your kid is either unemployed or stuck working as the school janitor is what you guys aspire for, then so be it.

I am comfortable with my child being average in sports, but after graduating from Haas and now living in Palo Alto, I would take that trade anyday. You guys can keep your state titles. I am comfortable with my son’s degree from Haas and being able to afford to live in Palo Alto without my help anymore.

I am angry and I am furious. I am angry that you people care so little about your children that you accept abysmal scores. You would rather come onto a sports blog instead of sitting at the table working with your kids grinding away learning how to read and count. Who cares is they are seniors. It’s never too late to try.

You guys care more about football than academics. It’s okay that my kid will work at McDonalds or live in poverty because they got to play on a really good football team.

It pisses me off that I am more mad than many people in this community.

IMO the HHSAA was 50% right and wrong with the format. Yes the top 6 teams play in the Open Div, more competitive and less rd1 blowouts. But when the HHSAA went too far was when they decided how many from each league would qualify. What if Kam, stl and pun where ranked in the top 6 in the state? The lesser of the 3 would lose out and the 7th rank would get a free pass. My opinion and perspective.

Even if it means to tilt the odds in favor of the ILH to win in the playoffs by having 2 teams in the Open and Iolani the Automatic bid in the D1. Even if it means to screw the OIA, yes, the PAYING clients and the EGOs of the Alumni trump the ALOHA SPIRIT”

MrWendall, you know nothing about private schools and private school communities. To be honest, some of the strongest communities around a school, in terms of alumni and parental support, is from Kamehameha and Punahou. Stronger than any I’ve seen around the local public schools.

Uncle, go drink your beer in your garage with “the boiz.” The only people thinking the OIA is getting screwed and demonizing the ILH aren’t the coaches or the kids who are playing the game, but sad uncles like you who can’t get past their lives that peaked when they were 16.

Familys with kids enrolled at ILH schools whether they are PAYING full tuition, partial, or only 05% are still PAYING something. This by definition categorize these Familys as clients.
