Lol,if ILH and OIA like combine, then like the NFL they must have a ceiling $$$ cap. Put together a public school team like Kahuku, with a $100,000. budget, weed football field, no recruit,no state of art gym, no 200 people/coach staff, just smash mouth! Yeah,cannot.

Was at the game with my mom (aka my personal Uber). Brought my “GPAs>TDs” sign but was told by usher not to hold it over my head. WTH??!! BTW, don’t buy the chili dog from the concession. Junk and overpriced.

Anywayyys! wait a minute. OIA is probably the most political group in sports. ILH is waiting for the OIA to agree to the recommendations made a couple seasons ago to combine OIA and ILH football schedules. So that Kahuku and Mililani can challenge ILH schools in the regular season. We all know it’s watered down on both sides.

I got an update from people I know who coach in the ILH and they just changed the rules in the ILH to allow freshmen to play on the varsity teams. The office claimed that it brought their rules in line with OIA rules that allowed players like Mililani’s Gabriel and Kapolei’s Tagovailoa to play during their freshman seasons.

Might have a dramatic effect on their JV programs being that they only have three teams as is (STL, KSK, PUN) and Punahou has only been fielding teams with 30-45 players lately. I could see a possible folding of the JV programs if not enough competition and turnout.

“Here Today”- Yes, 1st year that it’s allowed. “ILH”- a waiver needs to be signed by parents & school, than submitted to ILH office (4-5 days to approve). “Anywaaaays”- that’s why they(HHSAA) limited ILH to one team in the state tournament? Exactly.
