It’s an old story but I just got to see the comments to be honest it really breaks my heart. Number 14 that year number 15 for the remainder of her varsity years Alexandria Buchanan is my daughter. My daughter could throw the ball better than any of you bench huggers any day. My daughter had an arm that was accurate within 35 to 40 yards on the dime. My daughter loved to play football ever since she started playing for the Boys & Girls Club. Was I expecting that my daughter join the actual football team in high school and play JV no. Actually I thought that if she wanted to try out that she may quit after getting hit a few times but guess what to all you losers in the comment boxes she didn’t. My daughter was under pressure every single play that she was in for truth of the matter is no one is to blame but the coaches. There’s a few names in particular but I will not say them you go look them up and figure it out for yourself since you’re so concerned. Every time under Center as soon as the ball was snapped that was the deal Ayman or middle linebacker already in the backfield. Every time a throw is called it was a screen to the sidelines therefore like one of the comments said and 88 yd pick six. There was by the way a number of those and all due to the coaches calling conservatively even though they knew that she was accurate on post routes and Diggs which are 15 yd or more usually. They had to call the short routes because the pressure she was under every play due to the lack of ability to block her and the boys who played that position. My daughter despite the odds ran the team handed the ball off through the ball and did what she was supposed to do on that football field and I’m so proud of her and those boys despite the outcome of a lot of the games. My daughter got hit numerous times every game there was no special exceptions people were pinning their ears back and sending the dogs no matter if it was her or another quarterback who was the boy in the position. When I read comments like girls shouldn’t play I get it you’re an old-school idiot stuck in the old school way. When I hear people talking badly about the girl, who had more guts and heart to get on that field than most of you little commentary bullies ever had,it makes me laugh. They talked about her achievements because it was unusual and it was a Great Story and I thank them for telling it whether they were for against her playing. Guess what losers she was also on ESPN plays of the week so go suck on that in your little stew of pity and hatred. And lastly if anybody and I do mean anybody got something to say or you feel some type if way because of my daughter playing football call me Isaac Buchanan Sr. 808-228-1221. It’s sad but true, the seniors doing the work,and they want to give all the credit to this girl QB! I’m all in to what this person is saying! Kaimuki dline didn’t even want to touch her, they all had clear shots to light her up instead they choose to wait for her to hand off the ball, when number 40 was the QB you see the Dline chase him down! put number #5 in? Stats is clear she has thrown more picks than both QB put together!

#14- Half-Time Stats – 4-for-5, 12 yards. 1 interception on the stats. It was actually consecutive interceptions. 2 interceptions. Before that interception, #14 threw a 88 yard Pick 6 that was called back on a Kaimuki penalty. You can tell the offensive play calling is limited with #14. Time to put #40 in, We can win this game!

McKinley is a city school just like Farrington, Moanalua, Radford, Kaimuki, Kalani, Roosevelt and Kaiser. With the exception of Kaiser, those city schools are still able to field teams, week in and week out. I highly doubt “perceived” recruiting from the ILH has anything to do with McKinley’s lack of success in it’s football program, maybe it’s the lack of interest in the sport coming from the students themselves, or just maybe football playing students “district exempting” to more successful schools.

I agree, seniors_deserve_more. girls should not be playing football. if they do, they should be treated like the boys. this kind of special favoritism by the liberal media reeks of snowflake identity politics. let me know when mckinley actually wins games. RRFL!
