But so sad Varsity sports has to be so political. Public head coaches make $2500 a season, would think Admin. would cut him some slack given he has a proven background.

All I will say about this unfortunate incident, which didn’t involve any football player, is once words leave your mouth it is impossible to take it back, then it takes on a life of its own spiraling out of control. Baldwin is a great coach and to his credit turned around a failing program. However, and it was proven this year, his coaching staff did a great job with him and without him. Hopefully Coach Kaeo Drummondo gets the job and continues his awesome work.

It seems in todays world if a coach isn’t a complete puppet to his surroundings, there’s possibility of him sparking an investigation.
Just 1 person needs to have a problem w/ him, persuading a couple others to join the mix behind his back, making the problem twice as bad as it really is.
Would like to know really what type of complaints were filed, all it takes is one bad apple. Little problems can be worked out in group discussions, without someone losing their job.

thank you YNAE; admittedly, we are uninformed about the Baldwin case … other than that he was put on leave for complaints, was investigated, the investigation is over and he is not returning as coach. … we will reword the article, btw, to reflect that it was a complaint by someone (not necessarily a parent)

I don’t think this stemmed from parents of players complaining. In fact, I believe the parents got together in support of Baldwin. The complaint dealt with a manager and not any player.
