That’s pretty accurate. You talk to any Kahuku alumni. They stand behind all those names & their success. But when it comes to what they accomplished its either an excuse or they speak out as if the whole world is against them. “WE” da “Enemy Of The State”, “If we had all our real players playing for us we would have won”, “All these private schools won those championships with our players”. Brah, the list goes on & the same song & dance never changes. I understand “tight community” & support the kids. But let the kids own the glory not the adults. These adults are all for it like they couldn’t accomplish anything during their time in high school.

@ruggefslopes…. they have a valid argument. Uani Unga (giants lb), Kikaha (saints), keamoeatu Bros, Naole, A. Francisco, Afalava all current and nfl plyrs.
But yea, blue chip as in Te’o, Taulaupapa, Tuliloa (All Punahou) from the north… and majority of their coaching staff is ilh guys, i heard the same story.

Have some pride in hawaii football fellas, all this back and forth stuff making us forget reality. It’s not a crime to cheer on your Alma mater against any opponent. I know some of the comments cmg from the red nation is out of hand but let’s wish the boys who are actually playing good luck and Rep the 808 proud. They do read this stuff too, we all live in one area code….808…. doesn’t matter who leaves the rock to play, the mainland teams see Hawaii through whoever goes up to play. And when Vegas folks read this stuff we don’t want to look like sellouts just because of some bickering…..
