Ornellas was tore it up for Koolauloa midgets and was on the radar of the best recruiting coach in Hawaii history. He went to Kahuku intermediate 7th and 8th grade, came home from school one day and his pops said “Boy you going St. Louis”.

Yeah, Ornellas was born raised Kahuku. So was Gerald Welch. But we spread the talent all over Oahu. Cheehoo.
