In addition to my son/daughter getting to hit with the outstanding players at fine prep schools and OIA schools, it has been a pleasure to converse with and stand right alongside the parents of these girls, as especially the fathers were true gentlemen and passed these traits to their daughters.
Hawaii tennis will not be the same without Corpuz and Lau.

Thank you for writing a beter article here than the one that was printed on Star-Advertiser.
You focused on the match here. The one on Star-Advertiser your opening statement was a negative statement about how Katreina lost in last year’s Hawaii State tournament, totally irrelevant to the event you were covering on Wednesday. In the Star-Advertiser article, you focused on how Taylor Lau felt she didn’t have the support of the crowd. I think there were more important aspects of the match than that, and you failed to include them in your article. This article in Hawaii Prep World is a much better written article and is more insightful on how the match was played. Thank you for writing this article. It’s a shame that most people read the article on Star-Advertiser.
Mahalo,
Reinado Corpuz, Katreina’s dad
