Also in 1959, rain was a big factor; think games were moved from Honolulu Stadium to Kailua (?) and probably rain-shortened instead of 9 innings..

The tournament field was limited to 6 teams in those days—ILH, ROIA (now OIA), Big Island, Mayi, Kauai champions plus Molokai-Lanai rep (usually Molokai). So 2 teams drew byes and were automatically in semis.

All time individual performance has to be John Matias 4 home runs against Waimea in the 1962 semis against Waimea. This was when wood bats were being used. Farrington was seeded #1 in both 62 and 63; Lost to Leilehua in 62 but won it in 63.
