This tournament was to showcase the different high schools and prepare for the regular season. States is where the real championship counts. Rankings this early means nothing, as evident this past week when the #1 Maryknoll went down to both Punahou and Iolani. Also agree with ILOVEHAWAII “It was awesome to see the humble pie eating contest after they strutted around CORPs last week.

Spartans suffered a loss by lowly ranked #8 Buff and Blue yesterday.
You could hear the waves crashing on the shore it was so quiet when the last out was played.
It was awesome to see the humble pie eating contest after they strutted around CORPs last week.

Seriously, Iolani made it to the championship game and then “decided not to play Maryknoll”? Why?

Unless there’s an actual legitimate reason, this is a shameful act by Iolani. The tournament officials need to take note of this and make sure Iolani is never invited again.
