He is and was what high school sports is all about. He was a scholar inside and outside the classroom. He thought about others before himself. His work ethic was second to none and he represented both Iolani and Hawaii well. I had the opportunity to coach against Marc and he is the kind of kid you wished was on your team. Maybe he wasn’t the most talented, but his attitude and character rubbed off on others. It was a privilege to watch this kid compete and represent his school. If you could clone a kid to coach, it would be this one. Our community lost a great person.
