The stalemate call as Stefanelli was making progress toward and inevitable takedown was just pathetic. That ref is chronically and perennially bad. Was really worried when I saw him sittiing in the championship mat ref bullpen. Thankfully, he didn’t get on the mat. Will say that the refs FINALLY put a pretty credible group on the First place mat. Having either Stan, Bryan, or Max on the mat at all times during the first place matches is the way it should be. Notice that this year, no ref tried to steal the spotlight from the kids in the finals. It was refreshing to see.
