@FF He left on his own because what everyone in the program knew is he was only coaching for his daughters. He’s not a good coach. Don’t take my word for it, ask any ILH softball coach. Never played baseball in his life. He recruited heavily on his outside team and never developed players, he recruited them good already. Truth is he should have been fired after his 2nd year. The worst part about him was the disconnect he created with the players. NONE of the them except his daughter wanted to play for him but don’t take my word if you know anyone ask them. Coach Leo has excellent rapport with the girls and should bring back a positive environment to the softball program.

Was James Millwood fired or did he leave on his own? I know some parents on the team wasn’t happy with him, but it is unfortunate that he was coach for 4 years and that happened to be the 4 years that his daughter was a star on the team. I would like to see him stay another couple years to prove what he can do as a coach without his daughter and also to show that he cared about other kids in the sport.
