Gorman already has 3 projected ESPN games this season (Cedar Hill, TX/ Saint Thomas Aquinas, FL/ and I believe St John Bosco, CA). I’m sure someone will live stream it for the folks in Hawaii.

They shouldn’t pick it up cause it’s Kahuku but they should cause it’s Bishop Gorman. Number 4 in the nation. Maybe not ESPN but some other station like how we have an OC16. Would be cool to watch.

What a great opportunity for these kids. It’s a win-win as Kahuku players get more exposure, they represent Hawaii, and improve their game by playing one of the best teams in the nation. Hopefully they will earn the respect of sports giants like ESPN. Best of luck to the Red Raiders!

@AOK, I wouldn’t doubt it, but I’m not on of those alumnus, for this post anyway…lol.
No one can blame the ESPN execs for not wanting to pick up this game. I’m hoping that Coach Tata can do what Coach Livai did in the day when Big Red was a constant regional power and occasionally hit the national rankings. If he sticks around and does that, then I would be grumbling about ESPN not picking up a game like this.

I don’t think Kahuku is considered big time in ESPN’s eyes. To them, it’s just another game that Bishop will run away with. I hope Kahuku SMASHES them!!!

Isn’t ESPN interested in televising this game? They seem to show 1 big high school football game a week. This game has got to be a trendous financial burden for Kahuku families.
