Doesn’t everybody know that BYU will be dropping their Football Program in the.near future?

You’d be better off transferring to a program that needs your skills, knowledge and talent. UH Warriors program is not a good fit. Now the University of Virginia might be a good fit. Robert Anae and Mark Atuia is on their Coaching Staff.

Having played exclusively as a stand-up hybrid OLB/SS back when he was 1st team All-State for Kahuku (when he was a lot lighter), it would seem that now lining up as a down DE in BYU’s 4-man front isn’t a good fit for Latu’s skill set.

With Utah also playing a 4-man front with bookend down DEs (with North Shore boys Bradlee Anae & Mika Tafua as the projected starting Ute DEs this season), UH’s hybrid DE/OLB position (played by outgoing senior Kaimana Padello)……which requires a player to sometimes line-up as a down DE…..then other times as a stand-up OLB……would seem to be a better fit for Latu’s skill set……and maybe not such a bad move for Latu going forward after all.

Grad from ILH as a 19yr old senior…sit out your first year in college as you turn 20. Play the following year as a redshirt freshman when you are 21….duh!!!

Would love to see Latu in a Rainbow Warrior uniform. However, I’d first like to see him make the most of his opportunities in Provo, before transferring out. After all, not many players have the chance to be a 21 yr old RS-Freshman.

Samething happening in HS. Mililani got a bunch of 1St year Seniors? STl. Is so stacked, good underclassmen would not see playing time. Saban theory, if the best recruits play for me, they cannot beat me on the other team.

Hmm? Seems like something going on. Players participate in Spring and Summer practices then decide to transfer just before the season starts. Not only local players , but all over the nation.

I hope this decision is based on education rather than playing time… Too many of our young men choose playing time over education.
