If you are a good player you will get noticed regardless of team records. Example: Waianae was 0-3 to start the season but all everyone in the state could talk about was Kanani Mauga and how dominant he was. “Hands down D-player of the year”. MM is in the perfect offense geared to his abilities, he would not thrive in a pro-style offense but that’s ok cause he got a full scholarship and is kicking butt. So if you play for Aiea, Waialua or STL you have the same opportunity to get a college scholarship, it’s on the individual and their parents. “Period”

It was obvious how talented Milton was in High school but he was talked of as being undersized and so I dont think he had much college offers.

Playing for a super team (Mililani) really gave him exposure in the post season and showed how much of a winner he was as he was surrounded with great talent at Mililani.

Does this convince parents even more so now, that their kids need to be around other talented kids in order to maximize the marketing potential of their own kid?

Will more kids say…”My Aiea team is not going to win nothing, im going to transfer to Mililani or Kapolei”?

The weak will get weaker and the strong will get stronger. There will only be 3 teams every year that will contend for the State title and they are Kahuku, STL and PUN with Mililani and Kapolei sneaking in once or twice a decade.

oh and BTW Congrats MM keeping tearing it up!
