Many D3 schools offer academic scholarships to student athletes. This is how they are able to recruit. So yes he most likely received a scholarship for academics.

@really if you didnt know by now Jake is an honor student with a high GPA. He is not only an athlete he does well in school. A true student athlete.

Isn’t Whitworth a NCAA D3 University? If so, D3 schools do not offer athletic scholarships. So are you saying he has an academic scholarship?
