Your conspiracy theory is what it is. Do you really believe that I or anyone else is on someone’s “payroll” to hide anything? You are bonkers, dude. Can you explain how a team that didn’t step on the court had a positive case (at least one) and pulled out before even playing in the Classic?

Let’s use our time and energy for solutions. What you “heard” versus what the tournament really did to get to a championship game safely are two different things. Every player and coach was tested daily at the infirmary. I suggest you visit there one day. Those folks did tremendous work. The only HS tournament that I know of that has an on-site testing facility. Stay safe, get tested.

I love watching the Iolani classic every year, but I’ve lost a lot of respect for the people in charge of the decision making. Every local team kicked out of the tournament, yet Iolani still gets to participate the whole 4 days. I guarantee you Sierra Canyon had positive covid test results. They just wanted the Iolani vs Sierra Canyon match up. Especially since SC wasn’t even close to full strength. Supposedly this event was “closed to the public” but you see everyone with Iolani connections in attendance and they are allowed to stay and watch every game while parents of other teams can only watch their games then get forced to exit the gym right after. I give Iolani credit though, they wanted their team to receive all the shine and hype and that they did. Now everyone believes they’re head and shoulders above every team in the state just because they hung close to a Sierra Canyon team that didn’t have multiple key players. Well done Iolani, maybe next time you guys should find a way to level the playing field for the other local teams.

By the way, there were “fans” at Iolani Classic and I’m not talking about just family of the teams. If you follow social media you know already that lots of local people with no relations to the teams were allowed in to watch Bronny and Sierra Canyon. I don’t know the politics behind who got in, so jus sayin.

Another stupid inconsistency.
All the volleyball teams had to wear masks while playing but now that Covid is worse with the Delta & Omicron variant student athletes DON’T have to wear it? SMH!!

Paul, as you stated all Iolani students are vaccinated.
As you stated you have to be vaccinated to attend football games.
Why can vaccinated people go to football but not basketball?
you do know that VACCINATED people can carry & spread the virus right?
You do know that players & staff are testing positive at classic & dropping out right?
You do know that the NBA has protocols 100 times better than Iolani’s & still testing 10X more positives right?
I have no agenda; I’m just pointing out the inconsistencies with the Iolani IGE’s.

Paul, I’ve been to many football games this year and yes I seen first hand Iolani & other students without masks on.
What I mean by mingling is all students (Basketball too) are within a few feet apart in school last week & before, did you see basketball players @ Iolani football game?.
You do know that VACCINATED people can get & spread the virus RIGHT?
Exactly as you stated: Why can the Vaccinated go to football but not basketball?
If the Iolani Classic is SO safe as you say, how are these teams & kids pulling out & testing positive?
I have no agenda, I’m just pointing out Iolani IGE’s inconsistencies.
