I was going to mention why that kid Kaleb Gilmore wasn’t in the classic but forgot he was a junior. By far the most talented and best player here in Hawaii that’s if you know the game of basketball. Watch a couple of Maryknoll games and thought Burnett was a good talent but needed work. Hate to say this because I like watching Kaleb play but he should take his talent to the mainland his senior year. Want improve playing against 5’8 Asian kids…. UH should be knocking on his door

Ditto on Voice of Reason1….I can appreciate that as well. “Being a big part of helping him succeed and be involved!”…as they grow up quickly and are off into the world.

Question: Why aren’t neighbor island Seniors not invited or voted in?
There’s a kid on the Big Island (BIFF) that recently won the League MVP “Player of the Year” in DI (Jalen Carvalho) as well as 1st team AllState (coming out soon)…wouldn’t he be considered or atleast get an invitation?

Maui’s got some solid players as well coming out of Baldwin….and don’t sleep on Kauai!…there’s athletes all over the state!

Wet….. This is a senior classic and only seniors were chosen… Kupaa is a great player who will def be in this game next year…. Hats off to all players!!! What an amazing season of basketball!!!

I see a father who is proud of his son’s basketball skills and who dedicated a lot of time in making his son better at a sport they both love. Over bearing? Better than a timid father (there’s a lot of them out there) who relies heavily on coaches at every level rather than taking an active part in teaching his son (or daughter) how to play. Boss & Jared are clueless.
That said, Farrington was the better team to begin with. Maryknoll, after playing two consecutive nights, ran into a primed Governor team. And from the beginning of the season, Maryknoll relied so much on Burnett and Gilmore because that’s pretty much all they had. Ogata played great at times, but this Maryknoll team did well for the players they had. Credit Kelly Grant for bringing out the best in his players. Farrington came into State firing after their OIA run.
Don’t know if Burnett is headed to a D I school. But to all his critics: where is your kid going?
