Nah, all kidding aside, this is your forum Paul, sorry for stepping on your toes. I will say hi to you when I see you at the next Punahou game……. Punahou II/1-AA that is. That would be awesome to see you covering a Div 1-AA game because they have some pretty good “basketball” players that maybe could’ve played on the Div 1….. just my opinion. Whooo-sa, whooo-sa. Gots to remember to temper my greed and self-righteousness with soothing thoughts of teamwork and self-sacrifice. I know a few kids on the Div 1-AA made that “sacrafice”. Whooo-sa…….

haha you guys are killing me. Easy now. It’s not preview time yet. I mentioned that the football guys are getting in shape and you guys lose your minds. Say hi to me when I’m at the next Punahou game. It’s OK if you’re friends or family of these kids. But just remember, they don’t need personal PR shills on the internet. They are good enough already. There are chapters to be written for the best teams this season just like any other season. Temper your greed and self-righteousness with soothing thoughts of teamwork and self-sacrifice, my brethren…

Andrews is leading the team in virtually all stats, Kam is as pure a shooter as there is in the state, and Maa has been invaluable with his defense, rebounding, and unselfish play. Instead you highlight football players, some who have never even played this season? Good we have lots of time to get acquainted with the Punahou team, because you are way behind!

Well, Basketball Fan, I think you just filled in some nice info. We have lots of time to get acquainted with all the teams. When the ILH boys basketball preview hits the newspaper, you’ll see plenty about Punahou’s depth. Of course, you’d rather have me write about every Punahou player in every post, I know, I know… we’ll get there. Patience.

But for Punahou, why did you only mention football players? The guys that will carry the load this year will be 6-7 Daniel Andrews, 6-3 Justin Kam and 6-4 Micah Maa. Uluave hasn’t played a game yet. Saipaia is a presence, but doesnt fit into their fast style of play. Lakalaka is more of a forward than a 3-pt shooter and Noa is their defensive specialist. Newcomer Blake Wade will have an impact coming off the bench. Watanabe has to decide if he wants to be a scorer or a point guard, the kid can score. One thing you got right, they are deep.
