Paul makes as if Ng was the only kid on this island to ever work hard at this sport. Also, it has been reported more than a few times in HPW articles that Ng has received multiple OFFERS from D1, D2, and NAIA schools. That would seem to make him arguably the most recruited kid out of this state ever. Yet, it’s almost the conclusion of the signing period and we get a walk-on position?

Interesting that he mentions Darryl Gabriel in the article, because that’s exactly what this hire reminds me of. Like Hale, Gabriel had won a state championship prior (1988) and was a Punahou graduate. Though Gabriel didn’t win a state championship, his St. Louis teams were ALWAYS contenders and won a couple of ILH titles. St. Louis would kill to have those kind of teams.

Paul, really? I think it’s safe to say your favorite player of all time must be Kameron Ng. How and why did his name even come up in an article on Dan Hale? You do know Ng is not the first nor is he the last player in this state to actually work hard on his game? One of the main reasons he’s been so hyped up in this state has been because of this very website. Why don’t you verify the “other D1 offers” this website was claiming he had over the past season? Can we expect another article on Ng tomorrow because he sneezed?

Dan is a quality guy, he’ll move the program in the right direction we have a lot of young players coming up that will help the program in the future. The great thing about Dam is that he is of high character guy and that’s what the program needs. Congratulations Dan excited about Crusaders basketball program.
