Shot 75% in free throw.Compare his stats on those made the 1st and 2nd team kid got robbed.Humble and hardworking kid like him will play on the next level.STATS DONT LIE.

But I am also a true fan of the game. Being a true fan of the game, I honestly thought the 2 guards from Marknoll, Perez and Gelacio, gave us the most problems. I though Perez was worthy of 1st team and even Gelacio. I feel that Jaylen and Marcus were 2nd team at best. Jaylen was better as a Junior last year than this year as a Senior. Marcus benefited from easy looks created by Perez and Gelacio. Let’s give credit where credit is due to Perez and Gelacio got snubbed from what they really deserved. Me personally as a Punahou fan respected what Perez and Gelacio brought the last 4 years, and especially this past season. Shame on the coaches who didn’t recognize what they did.

If indeed the coaches voted, then it is what it is. I think they know better than the fans since they have all seen these boys play MULTIPLE times. Don’t you think? So congrats to all the boys!

I agree with u on this one. Watched a lot of ILH games the Perez boy brought more than just scoring to Maryknoll. Couldn’t understand that pick. No offense to the Ramos kid. He is a good player but his team didn’t win the ILH and MPI’s record was sub par. I could understand if he was putting up 20 a game and leading the ILH in scoring but that wasn’t the case. From what I saw Perez played unselfishly and made others better isn’t that what a point guard is supposed to do? Just my opinion. Which goes back to my other question. R they picking the best in the position or players in the ILh. It appears the first team is best in position? Second team best players? And honorable mention? IDK

Agree to disagree. If we’re voting on who did WORK in the ILH, I’m surprised the coaches left the PG from Maryknoll out of the first team, he did it all for that team, and was not even considered for player of the year. The kid put the team before himself. Like the dude from 94feet said, Spartans don’t win the ILH championship without his leadership.
On a separate note I believe if you miss a game you should be out of the conversation, then why wasn’t the guard from kamehameha considered?
My thoughts!

Absolutely agree with your reasoning why Damien’s coach deserved it.

He never started from the bottom It should be Alvin Stephenson Damien was nothing and went all the way to the ship. Go figure.

IDK just throwing it out for discussion.

I’m wondering what’s the criteria? I feel they missed or misplaced players.
