You can have someone put up 25 points but also take 25 shots! Not very efficient and very misleading statistic. Obviously everyone looks at the points scored but if you really want to see how good a player look at his percentage!!!

Nothing to be ashamed of. But that is not the stats of a first team all-star. You guys also need to remember that this all start team is based on regular season.

I agree with the comments above. Soon none of us will trust or even pay attention to who makes these teams. I wish the best for Bradlee and Kekai because they are humble, talented kids who were unfortunately missed because we have cartoons selecting our “best” players. You boys both deserve to be there. Good Luck to both of you!! I enjoyed watching you and go on and make Hawaii proud!!

I guess season stats count most if ya’ wanna make all-stars.

They’re too subjective. You can’t tell me Bradley Anae and Kekai Smith aren’t 1st team all stars. I know Anae missed some time on football trips and Smith was out for a month or so with an injury but they showed in the state tourney that they’re 2 of the best. Anae was a man amongst boys. He dominated the post throughout the tourney. Smith was still a dominant defender this year but also took on the role of being the go to guy for the Stangs. He regularly scored 20+ pts but did it buy taking good shots in the flow of the offense. Villejo is a good player but didn’t really do much this yr due to his knee injury. And I didn’t see Ono play but I don’t think he’s better then Smith or Akina for that matter.
