I think they went to the state semifinals 8 years in a row from late 1960s to mid 1970s. Radford used to get all the great popolo players from Pearl Harbor families. Their state championship team in 1988 was all popolo starting 5, led by Troy McCoy and Lamont Davis, still coached at the time by Jim Alegre.
