I’ve been pointing out that if a team, specifically Kahuku, can’t break a press (because you said they can’t) because the kids don’t know how to dribble, they shouldn’t be on the team. If they CAN’T DRIBBLE!!! What in the world are you going to use someone for if he or she can’t dribble as a guard?? That’s a stupid question. Are you keeping them just to be cheerleaders? Water boys?? Because if you’re playing that player that can’t dribble, then it’s on you as a coach since you decided to play someone that doesn’t know the fundamentals of the game. Coach can’t blame anyone else. Coach kept him, coach played him, so it’s on the coach.

So are the kids from Kahuku really as bad as you say they are?? I doubt it. I bet they make a run at states just because of their defense alone. Hello, it’s Kahuku! Long, fly around, athletic will get you very far in Hawaii basketball. Winning states is a different story. That takes good coaching.

The OU player never made a simple ball fake that is taught in youth leagues. So going on your philosophy that good coaches teach these simple thing and if they don’t know how to do it then get a new coach, the OU coach of the #2 team in the nation should be fired?

I am not about to give out anyone’s email addresses, they are probably fake anyway. I remember I tried to email all of the people who grumbled about wrestling rankings two years back to invite them to vote and each one of them bounced back.

And bawlah, I am not the coach. He is too busy being a standup guy trying to protect his name. I understand you have an agenda against him since you couldn’t get off the bench. But look on the bright side, you didn’t get cut and you made the team.

This is what I heard from some parents in Kahuku and in no way am I saying it is the truth. It could be a rumor for all I know. But “allegedly” Coach Hiram Akina often invites many of the kids to workout during the off-season and only his two grandsons show up. If this is true, it speaks volumes.

So the truth comes out huh coach? You think the other kids on the team don’t work hard? Only 2 guys on ur team work hard. Everybody else are cry babies. I hope Latu, Anae, n Sauvao, n anybody else that played football read this. I how they know u think they are weak cry babies. Cuz they are the only champions on the team n u could learn something from them. U could learn that u dont have to do what everyone else in Hawaii does to win a championship…u jus need solid teammates n a good coach that the players are willing to follow. Sorry they chose not to follow this year in basketball, but they chose to follow the new football coach. Maybe we should ask the football coach n players how he won without a quarterback n receivers. Maybe in basketball we dont need guards tgat master ball handling
