Mililani earns more time off to recharge

The Trojans, who hadn’t played in nearly a week, showed boundless energy in a 25-22, 25-20, 25-16 win over Moanalua for the OIA Red championship on Wednesday at McKinley. The OIA volleyball regular season has come to an end as the West division completed its final matches of the year on Wednesday night. The biggest winner of the evening was Waianae, which won an elimination game by knocking off Campbell in three sets to secure the West’s sixth and final berth in the OIA Red playoffs. Two upsets highlighted the final night of regular-season play in the OIA Red East on Tuesday as Kalani took down No. 6 Moanalua in three sets while Kaiser swept No. 9 Farrington.
