OIA girls soccer playoffs set

With the OIA girls soccer regular season ending on Wednesday night, the playoff brackets are set. They are as follows:

Division I

Monday, Feb. 1

E4 Kaiser (6-3-1) vs. W5 Campbell (6-3-1) at Aiea, 5:30 p.m.
Notes: Kaiser scored 43 goals while allowing 14 and ended the season with a 5-4 win over Kalani. Tommi Hintnaus leads the Cougars with 14 goals, including a season-high five goals in a win over Farrington. The Sabers scored 35 goals while allowing 11 and won their last three games by a combined total of 16-0. Asia Cannon and Jaelyn Chargualaf led Campbell with five goals each this season.


W4 Kapolei (6-2-2) vs. E5 Roosevelt (6-3-1) at Kailua, 5:30 p.m.
Notes: The Hurricanes were led by Michele Bonafacio‘s seven goals this season. Kapolei scored 32 goals while allowing 11 and played undefeated Pearl City tough near the end of the season, losing 2-1. The Rough Riders scored 25 goals while allowing 11 during the regular season and were led in scoring by Asya Asato-Kahele, who netted six goals.

E6 Kalani (4-3-3) at W3 Aiea (7-2-1), 7 p.m.
Notes: Na Alii started the season with six consecutive wins but finished 1-2-1 down the stretch. Sara Olanda led Aiea with 15 goals this season, scoring multiple goals in six different games. Aiea allowed 43 goals while giving up 13. Kalani scored 31 goals this season but finished last among the Division I OIA East teams with 22 goals allowed. Daysha-Ann Solidum led the Falcons with 14 goals scored.

W6 Nanakuli (4-5-1) at E3 Kailua (7-3), 7 p.m.
Notes: The Surfriders were the only one of the eight teams playing in the opening round not to end a single game in a tie. Kailua scored 27 goals while giving up 13 and were led by Taylor Strong, who netted 10 goals. The Golden Hawks scored 23 goals but allowed 48 this season and were led in scoring by Chevyn-Rae Morgan, who accounted for more than half of the team’s scoring with 14 goals. Only five different Golden Hawks scored this season.

Tuesday, Feb. 2
Kais/Camp winner vs. W1 Pearl City (10-0) at Castle, 5:30 p.m.
Kail/Nan winner vs. W2 Mililani (9-1) at Moanalua, 5:30 p.m.
Kapo/Moan winner at E1 Moanalua (8-1-1), 7 p.m.
Aiea/Kaln winner at E2 Castle (8-2), 7 p.m.


Thursday, Feb. 4
Semifinals at Kapolei, 5:30 and 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 6
Championship at Kapolei, 6:30 p.m.

Division II

Wednesday, Feb. 3
E2 McKinley (2-8) vs. W3 Waianae (1-9) at Leilehua, 5:30 p.m.
E3 Kaimuki (1-9) at W2 Leilehua (2-6-2), 7 p.m.


Thursday, Feb. 4
Lei/Kaim winner vs. E1 Kalaheo (5-4-1) at Waialua, 5:30 p.m.
Wain/McK winner at W1 Waialua (3-6-1), 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 6
Championship at Kapolei, 5 p.m.
