Waiakea clinches BIIF girls golf title

Waiakea wrapped up the BIIF girls golf championship with a victory in the latest match on Wednesday at the Mauna Lani North Course.

Kaelyn Uchida‘s 8-over 80 for the Warriors was good enough for medalist honors. Teammates Anne Nakamoto (81) and Kaley Saludares (82) finished in second and third place.

Shon Katahira won medalist honors with a 4-under 68 to lead the Waiakea boys team to a match victory. Teammate Trevor Hirata finished second at even-par 72.
