Antonio, Katahira rise in BIIF golf

Kamehameha-Hawaii’s Shantel Antonio and Waiakea’s Shon Katahira won Thursday’s BIIF golf tournament at the Waikoloa Village Golf Club.

Katahira took medalist honors in the boys competition witha 2-over 74, one shot ahead of Kamehameha-Hawaii’s Preston Ching.

Antonio shot an 8-over 80 on the girls side to beat second-place Kaelyn Uchida of Waiakea by two shots.


Waiakea won the boys and girls team titles.

The top five boys and girls golfers and team scores from the BIIF’s three tournaments so far this season follow.
