The Kamehameha Warriors remained at No. 8 in the Student Sports Fab 50 girls volleyball rankings after edging Punahou to capture the ILH championship last week.

Kamehameha had been ranked as high as fifth before losing to the Buffanblu in the second round of ILH play. Punahou was at No. 14 before falling to Kamehameha in five sets and is now at No. 30.

Both teams have reached the semifinal round of the New City Nissan/HHSAA State Championships on the Big Island. Kamehameha ousted Kahuku in four sets on Wednesday. Unseeded Punahou swept Farrington and Kamehameha-Hawaii.
