Mid-Pacific hires Reid Sagawa as girls hoops coach

Mid-Pacific has a new girls basketball coach.

Reid Sagawa is the new hire, according to athletic director Scott Wagner. He takes over for Lisa Russell, who stepped down recently. The Owls went 1-9 in the recently completed ILH Division I season.

Sagawa, a 1989 ‘Iolani graduate, is a former boys basketball coach at Kalani and with ‘Iolani’s Division II girls basketball team.

“He is a fantastic coach and we’re glad to have him,” Wagner said.

Great hire by Mid Pacific. Coach Reid will bring some stability and discipline to the girls program. The Owls will once again rise to new heights under his leadership & guidance.
