Hawaii Storm to hold summer hoops events

The Hawaii Storm Summer Basketball Camp will be held at the Kaiser High School gym, June 8-11.

Sessions run from 8-11 a.m. for boys and girls ages 5-10 and from noon to 3 p.m. for boys and girls ages 11-17. The cost is $130.

The Hawaii Storm basketball club is an affiliate of the California Storm, which is sponsored by former college and WNBA star Diana Taurasi, who is now playing for a pro team in Russia.


The Hawaii Storm will also a defensive clinic and a shooting clinic at Sacred Hearts Academy gym for $20 per clinic.


The defensive clinic is June 14 and the shooting clinic is June 28, with sessions from 8 to 9:30 a.m. for ages 7-11 and from 9:30 to 11 a.m. for ages 12-16.
