A new podcast out of the West side began on May 14 to give fans a trip down memory lane.

The show, aptly named the Searider Football Podcast, featured former all-state stud Chris Paogofie in its first episode and has Peter Matautia lined up for the next one.

The first show is on youtube here, and includes such gems as Paogofie claiming that he watches his legendary wedge-buster against Kahuku four times a day, what it was like being a sophomore starting alongside legends in the making and how Larry Ginoza‘s coaching changed his life.

The show is hosted by Terrence Hallums and Brandon Chung, and intends to go weekly. If you miss it, you can catch it on youtube or stop by a garage near you with a six pack of your favorite beverage and hear something similar.

It can also be found at https://soundcloud.com/bigteeze

Future guests include Kalani Hallums, Kekoa Kaluhiokalani, Larry Rhoads, Leo Cueto, and Oj Willis in June, followed by Nate Jackson, Glenn Freitas, Walter Young and Paul Alferez set for July.

It was an honor to be a part of the Searider football podcast experience. My story is not what i did for Waianae football but what it did for me. I’d like to think i was a force in my day. But, really Searider football did more for me in the game of life. Humility, discipline, perseverance, and pride are some the characteristics that stuck with me. I pray my segment tells a story that most can relate to and know that life always gives you chances that will shape the outcome of our lives. What ever we choose to do with them. Imua Waianae!
