Pre-game
JV game is in the third quarter. Kaiser leads Kalaheo 35-0.

It’s a typical evening in Hawaii Kai. Good breeze from mauka side. Partly cloudy. Gorgeous sunset. Often enough, things change within an hour with gusts and rain. Hopefully not tonight. I want to see Radford air it out early and often. I’d like to see Kaiser get truly tested for an entire game.

First quarter
8:59 – The Cougars drive on the ground and score on a 3-yard off-tackle run by Fitou Fisiiahi. He ran one tackler over. Cougars 7, Rams 0.

Note: WR Jameson Pasigan and RB Tobias Powell are not playing tonight. Both are on the sideline not suited up due to injury.

6:40 – Andrew Killen’s 34-yard field goal breaks the ice for the Rams. He kicked it with the wind at his back, about 15-20 mph tonight. Kaiser 7, Radford 3.

Second quarter
6:27 – Another lengthy, meticulous drive by the Cougars and a toss sweep left by Fisiiahi for a 1-yard run. It was fourth down and inches to go for the Cougars. Fisiiahi was met at the goal line by a Radford linebacker and won the head-on battle. The LB’s helmet came off. Kaiser 14, Radford 3.

4:25 – Freshman Isaac Slade-Matatutia returns an interception 15 yards to the house. Kaiser 21, Radford 3.

1:03 – A double-reverse 20-yard pass from Trevin Kahunanui to Matt Haili gives Kaiser its fourth TD. They’ve outscored Radford 21-0 in this quarter with the wind at their backs. Kaiser 28, Radford 3.

:18 – Kahunanui partially blocks a punt to set up a quick TD for the Cougars. Fisiiahi scores around the right side on a 6-yard run. Kaiser 35, Radford 3.

Third quarter
8:09 – An interception by Jeshua Bitanga sets up another Kaiser scoring drive. Thomas Buntenbah-Leong scores on a 29-yard shovel pass from Lii Karratti. Kaiser 42, Radford 3.

5:32 – Safety. Slade-Matautia tackles a Ram in the end zone after Kaiser blocks a Radford punt. Kaiser 44, Radford 3.

4:04 – Thomas Buntenbah-Leong returns the kickoff (free kick) 61 yards for a touchdown. Kaiser 51, Radford 3.
