Smorgasbord of scrimmages for football fans

Mililani's Andrew Valladares went up for a pass against Waianae's Dayton Weber last season. Both Waianae and Mililani will participate in scrimmages three times this week and they scrimmage against each other on Friday. George F. Lee / Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Hawaii high school football fans can get their fill of scrimmages starting Thursday.

And it’s a pretty good lineup, too, featuring many of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s season-ending top 10 from 2016.

Among the marquee scrimmages are: Punahou at Waianae, Campbell at Saint Louis, and Kahuku at Kamehameha on Thursday; Mililani at Waianae on Friday; Kailua at Saint Louis, Mililani at Kamehameha, Punahou at Farrington and Waianae at ‘Iolani on Saturday; and Mililani at Kahuku on Aug. 4.

Many of Hawaii’s 45 teams will play in nonleague games starting the weekend of Aug. 4-5. The five Hawaii leagues’ regular-season schedules will follow, starting with an Oahu Interscholastic Association slate of games on the weekend of Aug. 11-12.

The most updated list of Oahu scrimmages follows and is subject to change.
