  3. Walaau November 19, 2017 8:47 pm

Maybe because this is for the ILH?

  4. Hovah808 November 19, 2017 8:47 pm

Anywaays…. are you an idiot??? Can you read??? What did the title of this article say??? These were ILH awards. No wait. My fault. Kahuku is that good they should claim ILH awards too. My fault I should’ve realized that.

  5. Fan of the Game November 19, 2017 8:56 pm

Uh, this was only for the ILH….. All state honors haven’t been decided yet. Gotta read more carefully! You keep making a fool of yourself! Hahahaha

  6. Walaau November 19, 2017 8:57 pm

Of course it’s an ILH agenda…it’s an ILH all-star team. Please try and read before making inappropriate comments.

  7. ??? November 19, 2017 9:17 pm

    Don’t get Mad at anywaaays!!
It’s not his fault He was Home Schooled by Educationfirst😂😂

  9. Education First November 19, 2017 11:05 pm

Get it straight ???, even my genius couldn’t do anything for anywaaays. And yes he is an idiot.

  10. HobraH November 20, 2017 6:02 am

  11. Telling It Like It is November 20, 2017 6:32 am

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

  12. Tony Raiola November 20, 2017 7:35 am

All the years of coaching experience on the Kahuku sidelines, nobody mention about the clock management, when Kahuku players were running out of bounds to stop the clock. What was going thru the kids head….. Kahuku had the game Won…. 2 out of bound runs, 1 false start, gave the ball back to the most dangerous duel in the state…. Coderio to Panoke or Quin…. Go figure…
Great game on both teams play…. someone wanted it more. Crusader Strong

  13. ??? November 20, 2017 8:10 am

Cal Lee, coach of the year is a joke😂
Almost any coach in the state would win a title with STL talent.
Recruiter of the year, I understand 🏈

  14. ??? November 20, 2017 8:14 am

Kip Akana or Eddie Klaneski should have been Coach of the year!!

  15. Cabs November 20, 2017 8:47 am

    Dear Mr ‘Anywaays’

I always knew you were an idiot. Thanks for once again proving it to the whole world.

  16. Walaau November 20, 2017 9:09 am

??? – I hate to say it, but Klaneski IS the coach of the year…for Division 2. He can’t be Division 1 COY if he doesn’t coach in the divison…

  17. Bu-Lyah November 20, 2017 12:16 pm

It’s not so much Cal Lee is a great recruiter.. STL is just the easiest school to get into. So families get to say their kid goes to a “prestigious private/football school.” As they say, it’s the “Public of the Private” haha

  18. Cry4dababy November 20, 2017 12:52 pm

Cal Lee is the best recruiter!!!! He don’t have to do anything. The kids just come rolling in because they want to be apart of a winning tradition program and compete for the state title every year.

  19. ??? November 20, 2017 1:30 pm

    @Cry4dababy
If the kids keep coming on their own.
Why is all your STL scouts at Laie Park Big Boys games recruiting. LMAO 😂 All BS..

  20. Cry4dababy November 20, 2017 2:24 pm

??? Stl scouts??? I really want to meet a stl scout..do they have that on their shirts??? lol the kids are from everywhere but only guys from that side complain. I dont here pepole from the westside complaining or the people from kalihi complaining. Too funny. Again I really want to meet a stl scout.

  21. Okwateva November 20, 2017 3:23 pm

Why is there a second team in D2 and not in D1?

  22. Knation November 20, 2017 7:26 pm

@Cry4dababy my nephew who plays for kahuku had been talked to by someone from st.louis and punahou when he played for laie park raiders. To me I don’t care about recruiting if they go to play elsewhere then that’s there choice and school they represent. My co-worker is a farrington alum and he also said st.louis recruits. But recruiting or not st.louis have a great system to make there players better. But all i know is that the st.louis DC helps coach laie park raiders

  23. anywaaaays!! November 20, 2017 7:58 pm

If they could, Saint Lulu would basically empty everyone from La’ie and make them play for them. It’s a good thing some kids have morals and standards and want to stay home. It’s a good thing that some kids realize there are bigger priorities than academics and what school is on your diploma. RRFL!

  24. anywaaaays!! November 20, 2017 8:09 pm

The #1 all star for the ILH agenda has got to be the refs. That’s the only reason why Saint Lulu won this year. Rigged refs. Rigged games. There needs to be an independent third party investigation into this kind of corruption.

  25. Bumbai u learn November 20, 2017 8:56 pm

RRFL = Remedial Reading For Life

  26. So. . . November 20, 2017 8:57 pm

Coach Freitas should be #1 on the list. The game was his for the taking after that interception but he gave it to STL by running out of bounds instead of running out the clock. Brilliant move!

  27. Cry4dababy November 20, 2017 9:49 pm

Yeah I heard it’s alumni from the community that talk to the kids. Not recruiters or scouts. It’s just a simple yes or no question. I don’t think they pressure the kids like how recruiters do. I think it’s just to give kids an opportunity that they had. Recruiting is for college n the military.

  28. ??? November 20, 2017 11:20 pm

yeah I heard it’s alumni from the community that talk to the kids. Not recruiters or scouts.
Lol. Why are you so in denial about STL recruiting? It’s not your fault !! first you said kids just want to come to stl because of championships, now you’re saying yeah alumni talk to them! Once again you’re Full of S#%@ 😂

  29. ??? November 20, 2017 11:24 pm

    @cry4dababy
Stop giving scholarships/Financial aid or whatever you guys want to call it and see how many kids attend stl for their tradition/ brotherhood!! 😂😂

  30. Cry4dababy November 21, 2017 12:01 am

??? There’s a lot of kids who who attend the school because they had family that went there. Then there’s a whole bunch who just want to go there because the program. Just like the qb. He could of gone to another school to play because tua was always in front of him. But he choose to stay. 2 state titles l, scholarship to play for a d1 school Its scary because winning this year now even more kids will want to go there. So get ready for the new era of the stl dynasty…lol no need recruit!!

  31. ??? November 21, 2017 12:14 am

    @cry4dababy
Your Dynasty that couldn’t beat Bishop Gorman, Canyon Country or De La Salle! Why? Cause they recruit too😂😂😂😂👎🏼
Lol no need recruit “Try It”

  32. Cry4dababy November 21, 2017 12:22 am

??? Dynasty that put hawaii on the map and help kahuku become what they are today!!! Marinate on that…lol

  33. ??? November 21, 2017 12:32 am

No comeback for those losses that I just mentioned huh?
Marinate on that with the brotherhood in the showers😂

  34. Cry4dababy November 21, 2017 12:47 am

??? The lost to canyon ended the longest winning streak in hawaii high school history. Something kahuku will not smell….lol stl lost fair and square to those teams atleast they never crybaby n blame the refs….lol

  35. Jusamom November 21, 2017 8:08 am

WTG Crusader Nation for an awesome win! Played your hearts out and well deserved. Huge props for the Red Raider Nation for giving it everything you’ve got. Boy the Ohana and Aloha shown by Red Raider Nation is like no other. It was an awesome sight to see! Please remember that Saint Louis had 16 penalties for 168 yards against Mililani and still pulled out the win. At the end of the day, you gotta have a winner and you gotta have a loser. I’m happy that the 2 best teams made it to the Big Dance. I’m sure that Kahuku will be back next year and bringing it even stronger than ever. I’ve said it before about recruiting, at the end of the day, don’t hate the player, hate the game. ILH vs. OIA Rules are different on recruiting but at the end of the day, the player being recruited along with their parents can always say, “NO”. If someone is recruited for whatever reasons and chose to play for Punahou, Saint Louis or Kamehameha that’s their business and I say, hell to the yes if they accept an offer from a private school that maybe their parents cannot afford to them to.

If you have a son being recruited for football by a college, do you want them to go to a college that has not just a winning team, but a great academic program or do you want them to stay home and play in their back yard? In this case UH. Come on…let’s be honest here, would you say no? Look at what lengths Tua Tagoviloa’s family has done. The entire family moved to Alabama. Alabama is the #1 in the SEC, with God’s grace, Tua will be playing professional football and the sacrifice not just for Tua but his family will be worth it.

Wouldn’t the best public and best private school want the chance to play each other? But whenever a private school wins a championship, it raises questions about whether they have an unfair advantage because of their ability to draw athletes from anywhere. There are not that many private schools for Saint Louis to compete against hence the State Title. Kahuku won the public or OIA championship and Saint Louis won the private or ILH title.

Most athletes dream about playing in the top, most competitive situation possible; and at the collegiate level that means playing “D1.” Recruiting has to do with talent. Your high school coach public or private is your number one link to college coaches, and he’ll do his best to help you through the recruiting process. Cal Lee clearly had been around for a long time and I’m sure knows a lot of college recruiters thus, the student athlete along with their family makes a decision to whether or not to attend Saint Louis or any private school which best can help their decision in their athletic career be it just for college or hopefully professional.

  36. Douglas Hu November 21, 2017 9:53 am

    21….only 3 teams in D1…

  37. ??? November 21, 2017 10:32 am

    @ cry4dababy
    That’s my whole point Dumb@$#
With all that recruiting from around the state, it’s NO surprise stl should dominate Hawaii football. They just cannot dominate Bishop Gorman, De La Selle who also recruit! Let it Marinate before you reply👌

  38. Cry4dababy November 21, 2017 12:01 pm

??? What ever crybaby!! How bout the other mainland schools they beat that was nationally ranked? Bakersfield, mores, Hart, for get the other ones. Yeah always going come to recruit…lol sound like u mad u never get talked to when u was young. Hating on ur friends who went to private schools n did well. You didn’t win any championships so u gotta live through the the kids now days….lol all the haters on the north shore didn’t win a championship their years so they don’t know how to act. LOL ok bye bye ??? 😂😂😂

  39. ??? November 21, 2017 2:02 pm

You just proved my point again.
The teams you just mentioned don’t recruit; the teams I mentioned does!!
If you went to private school get your money back, cause you’re Dumb😜😜

  40. Cry4dababy November 21, 2017 3:50 pm

??? Ur pointless!!! LOL The fact of the matter is stl is back to back state champions. Cry all u guys like about the refs and recruiting. If thats what makes u guys feel better then let it be…lol talk all ur smack. We just going sit back n enjoy being champions..lol ok enough you win. I’m dumb…cheeehooo!!!

  41. Knation November 21, 2017 4:45 pm

Relax cry4dababy and ???…St.louis won game over! If the game is over than its over. No excuses and my braddah ??? It’s okay we had our chances and let st.louis enjoy there victory they earned it.

  42. Recruit dis November 21, 2017 6:20 pm

???- you better go read Tuitele twitter. He just posted that he never was asked to go their and his parents pay for his school. He went their because he wanted to just like the rest of them. Name me one person that was recruited on this team. That’s what I thought.

  43. Redandblueallday November 21, 2017 7:13 pm

@cry4dababy Canyon legit loss, but De La Salle avoided St Louis during their streak (3 years) we even offered to go there and play them. Pretty ironic that the year Cal Lee leaves they decide to play St Louis. Gorman won against another non Cal Lee led team. Would be different if the Lee brothers were there, TRUST! In regards to recruiting, no make like Kahuku don’t recruit, you guys been recruiting in the mainland for years. The RB last year was recruited. Miano recruited his Kaiser team that won the title. Ur last two seasons were won because of a St Louis alum. You can recruit all u like but if u can’t coach it don’t mean shit. BTW u guys got smoked by Gorman, we only lost by 10. De La Salle won’t even bother wit u guys cuz u guys is garbage. At least u guys hired ILH coaches dis year to get out of that crap running game and actually decide to follow the Crusader blue print and throw da ball. Kahuku will always be our little brother. Kalaepohaku all day!

  44. anywaaaays!! November 21, 2017 8:41 pm

I’ll name you one person: the refs

  45. ILH AGENDA November 22, 2017 8:33 am

anywaaaays- your obsession with our committee is flattering. The more you reference THEE ILH, the more future prospects want to know what all the fuss is about therefore we are ushering them in the doors at a record rate! We are in the process of finalizing out deal with hele fuel so gad is a little more affordable for our employees…I mean students. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, without even knowing it, you’re our biggest supporter!

  46. ilh November 23, 2017 2:25 pm

???, pay attention and read properly, Cal Lee is the Division 1 Coach of the year, Eddie Klaneski, is Coach of the year for Division 2, and anyone else complaining about Saint Louis Recruiting or scouts, stop whining already, you are all losers when you got nothing else nice to say, go Saints, Crusaders will be tough again next year with the JV team winning the ILH this year, and Cal Lee probably back for a least another year.

  47. Eyeswideshut November 23, 2017 5:09 pm

We must not have different leagues” Public and Private playing with different set of eligibility rules …It’s an unfair advantage…Simple..Why doesn’t the State address this issue..?.If not, we will continue having these arguments year after year…It does not only apply to football…
