Saint Louis senior linebacker Isaac Slade-Matautia was one of six players to announce their college commitments during the inaugural Polynesian Bowl on Saturday night at Aloha Stadium.

Slade-Matautia, who is 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, narrowed a list of nine offers to Oregon and Nebraska before announcing his commitment to the Ducks.

Oregon nabs its second recruit from the islands for 2017 and continues its Hawaii-to-Eugene pipeline. Slade-Matautia will join a team that has seven players from the islands on its roster, including kicker Adam Stack, who was an early enrollee this year. Linebacker Kaulana Apelu (Kamehameha) and defensive tackle Rex Manu were solid contributors for the Ducks this past season.
