Punahou’s Trifonovitch offered by UH

Punahou senior Alex Trifonovitch has been offered an opportunity to play football for the University of Hawaii.

Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance announced the news on Monday night. Trifonovitch was Punahou’s starting punter and backup placekicker. Both he and starting PK Jon Toner have touchback range on kickoffs.

Trifonovitch averaged 40 yards per punt in two state-tournament games this fall.

I am hoping the recruits sittiing on the fence will show some devotion to Hawaii and commit. Sure, UH is a fledgling program, but if enough of the blue chips stay home more are sure to follow.
