It’s a distinct pattern, no doubt.

One university eyes the talent and work ethic of a heralded recruit. The in-state rival makes its copy-cat move. Or maybe it’s just simple recognition that this student-athlete is 1) gifted enough to garner that kind of recognition and trust, and 2) we’d better follow suit. Now.

Just two days after Mississippi State offered a football scholarship to Kaiser junior Michael Eletise, Ole Miss stepped up with an offer to the 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive lineman. This is FBS offer No. 28 for Eletise, regarded as the No. 1 guard in the West Region by Scout.com.

He announced the news on his Twitter feed.

Just like coach Beeman who’s staying put with UH because it’s like family and new men’s HC Ganot, because it’s his dream job and his past experience with former UH coaches and players and the Hawaii family and friends, both coaches want to make something happen here; I hope this young player will likewise surprise everyone with picking UH as his choice as well.
