All good teams routinely describe itself as a family. At Farrington, they have the roots to prove it.

Defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko made the Star-Advertiser’s first team after last season, joining three older brothers in taking the honor and continuing a run of family excellence going back to the Nogas and the Cadientes.

The run started in 2005 when the Star-Bulletin selected Whitley Fehoko for its offensive line and continued in 2006 when both papers chose Sam Fehoko on the defensive line.

The newspapers agreed again in 2008 when they both put VJ Fehoko on the first-team defense but a year later the Honolulu Advertiser kept him on the first team but the Star-Bulletin dropped him to third team behind players like Beau Yap of Kamehameha and Kona Schwenke of Kahuku.

Breiden came along last year and can match VJ’s feat of repeating with another strong season this year.

You left out Onosai Tanuvasa who held the rushing record for many years

Onosai was awesome, unfortunately he predated all-state teams.
